The conference has two locations:

Welcome & Conference opening and the Workshops:

CosmoCaixa Isaac Newton, 26 Barcelona

CosmoCaixa, the Science Museum of “la Caixa” Welfare Projects, which first opened its doors on 25 September 2005, is located in the premises of what was Spain’s first interactive Science Museum, inaugurated in 1981.

Its history, however, dates back more than a century, specifically to 1904 when the Museum’s Modernista building was constructed, designed by architect Josep Domènech i Estapà, built to house the Amparo de Santa Lucía home for the blind. This was in operation until 1979, when it was remodelled and extended by Jordi Garcés and Enric Sòria as the site for the “la Caixa” Foundation’s Science Museum, undergoing subsequent renovation work to turn it into the CosmoCaixa, designed by architects Robert and Esteve Terradas.

With a gross floor area of more than 50,000 m2 and 30,000 m2, The Museum has permanent exhibitions, offering a selection of fragments of reality: experiments, objects, animals, plants, etc. all brought together to stimulate visitors and encourage them to find out more about science

CosmoCaixa has its own extensive programme of educational and scientific activities aimed at all kinds of people: courses, talks, seminars, workshops… also hosting activities organised in collaboration with other institutions.
